NIOBRARA – Last week’s flooding is making life difficult for almost everyone.
Knox County Sheriff Don Henry says that his department has no way to respond to calls for service in extreme northwest Knox County because he can’t cross the Niobrara River.
Henry says that the Boyd County Sheriff has agreed to add a portion of his county to his patrol duty while the bridge is out. The Sheriff says that the Roads Department is working to repair the bridge at Pischelville to restore county access.
