In a twist to the Antilia case, former Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh has accused Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh of extortion. In his letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Singh claimed that Deshmukh had directed suspended API Sachin Waze to collect Rs 100 crore every month from bars restaurants, other establishments.
NCP Chief Sharad Pawar addressed media & gave clarification on the Maharashtra Extortion case. Sharad Pawar claimed that allegations made by Param Bir Singh on Anil Deshmukh is false. Sharad Pawar defended Anil Deshmukh with providing Maharashtra Home Minister's past records.
Soon after Param Bir Singh filed a plea in Supreme Court demanding CBI investigation & unbiased probe, Anil Deshmukh held a press conference & defended himself.
