Your 11 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Jan. 20, 2023: A trough continues to sink south in the wake of a farther southward sitting jet stream. A brief period of dryness stands yet for Saturday under heavy cloudiness with surface temperatures near normal.
However, two systems firing out of the southwest through Texas merge north across the Mississippi River valley before eyeing the Midwest Ohio region. The first arrives on Sunday with limited accumulations and another arriving midweek on Wednesday with a dynamic system poised to bring a better chance of accumulating snowfall. The stage is now set for cold, winter weather to remain in place going forward.
