As inland schools prepare for the start of the academic year tomorrow, some parents at Malamulele in Limpopo feel that their children's right to free basic education is being tampered with. The Malamulele Secondary School has been demanding a once-off payment of R550 before issuing stationery to learners.
The school is a no-fee school where stationery and meals are supposed to be provided for by government for free.
Senior video journalist Hulisani Livhebe and reporter Pimani Baloyi filed this report.
