This training video demonstrates how quickly "mouth alcohol" dissipates ("goes away") when the person truly has no alcohol in their blood/system when using an evidential breath testing device (EBT). This video was created to compliment our full-length breath alcohol technician (BAT) training certification course to show BAT students who are training to conduct Department of Transportation (DOT) alcohol tests the reason for the 15-minute wait between a screening and confirmation test under the 49 CFR 40 Rules.
You will see that the subject blowing into the device sprays 3 shots of breath spray into his mouth, then blows into the EBT which generates what looks like a high positive alcohol test result. However, because the person has no real alcohol in his system, you will see how quickly the "mouth alcohol" evaporates (dissipates) and that it is completely gone in only 5 minutes.
This short video is a supplement to our full, online BAT certification training course, and Certified Training Solutions offers full BAT training on many popular, DOT-approved breath testing devices. Please inquire at [ Ссылка ]
