Parsha Vayetze: Jacob's ladder and staying within the framework of holiness:
After living a life of holiness with his father Isaac, and then studying Torah for many years, it is time for Jacob to enter the reality and materiality of this world, find a wife and raise a family. His fears as to how he can move from such a high level of holiness to a lower level of materiality, and still serve G-d, are demonstrated by this story of Jacob’s dream of the Sulam, the ladder. This short Torah lesson will discuss that.
