A 52-year-old woman has become the first female inmate to be executed by the United States government in 67 years.
She has been declared dead after having a lethal injection in the state of Indiana.
Another two inmates are scheduled for death before President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration next week.
Mr Biden is expected to discontinue federal executions.
