The heater fan motor on my Porsch 944 was only working on speed setting 1 and the rest of the settings were doing nothing. This is due to corrosion/residues on the heater fan resistor and by cleaning this you can get the fan working on all speeds again. You can use clear distilled vinegar (don't use malt vinegar). Once it has stopped bubbling then clean and dry the resistor and refit to the car.
