It’s a fun song to play! Certainly when it’s Christmas time 😊 . The challenge in this song lies within playing the bassline almost in one (1) position! Playing it in this position gives you the opportunity to play the legato (and hammered on) notes with the first and second finger of your left hand, which are the strongest fingers. These legato notes are in my opinion very important for the sound of the song. And because it’s a steady groove the challenge is also to play it disciplined in the groove.

And of course the secret of this groove lies within playing almost all the notes staccato (short).
