Dr Shamim Miah

He is a senior lecturer at the University of Huddersfield. He is the author of Muslims, Schooling and the Question of Self-Segregation (Palgrave). Shamim is interested in the question of race, religion and public policy. His most recent research project on 'Grooming and the Question of Race' will be published in Identities Papers: Journal of British and Irish Studies (May 2015). He is currently researching the controversy surrounding the 'Trojan Horse' stories in relation to Muslims in state schools.
