Starting at sundown on Sunday, December 22 many members of the Hopatcong Community came together to celebrate the start of the Jewish holiday season.

Rabbi Richard Kirsch from the local Lake Hopatcong Jewish Community Center conducted the ceremony and reflected on major topics that every resident could relate to … We live in an age of darkness right now… Now is the time to put aside all of the darkness and shine the light that we have inside of us… Stated the Rabbi. “The inner strength gives us hope in this wonderful time in which we live.”
