Enable Development Mode on your device
To upload and test applications on your BlackBerry PlayBook tablets, you need to change to Development Mode.
This mode allows you to remotely install and launch an application on your tablet. If you don't intend to do development activities, turn off Development Mode for increased security. If you reboot a device, Development Mode is disabled automatically.When you connect to your device using Wi-Fi and a USB cable, your device will have two IP addresses, which is the expected behavior.

To enable Development Mode:

1.Turn on your device, and in the top-right corner, tap the Settings icon.
2. Select Security in the left navigator.
3. Select Development Mode from the list of security options
4.Next to the Use Development Mode label, slide the Development Mode setting to ON.
5. When prompted, type the password for your device, and tap OK.
6.Tap Back and swipe from the bottom bezel up to exit the Development Mode screen.
