Today, we're taking a look at the backing plate for the Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor. The backing plate provides the mounting point for your Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor, part number DR01, which is this component here. The D-Ring bolts onto the plate here at the welded on nut. The unit is made from a durable steel construction. It features a nice black powder-coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. It's made in the USA, has a safe working load limit same as the anchor, which is 2,000 pounds with a maximum load or break strength of 6,000 pounds.

The backing plate measures, edge to edge in this direction, six inches by five inches, and that is a quarter inch thick steel. You'll also see there that we have the pre-drilled holes, one on each corner, so if you want to mount this to the underside of a deck board or anything like that on your trailer, then you can easily do that.
