A BEAUTIFUL SOLO MOTOR RIDE ACROSS MINDORO ORIENTAL MAKING MY WAY TO CATICLAN (nearby Boracay)...
This day starts with a morning ride through the capital city of Calapan. I make my way off highway and along the coast. After some great chika with fishermen, I find a little coffee shop and a wonderful Kuya who used to work overseas for more than ten years. He makes a great cup of coffee, and gives me reminder how much I respect OFW's. From there, I find myself in the town of Naujan. I was surprised how historic the place is. The old homes were beautiful, and the amazing stone church really surprised me. The town is also home to the fifth largest lake in the Philippines.
Crossing Mindoro is something I have done quite a few times on a motorbike... but this time, I took some roads less travelled away from the highway. It was a great experience, and a tiring one when I finally arrived in the port of Caticlan by boat.
