A group of independent UN Human Rights experts has called on the Security Council to take immediate action to prevent Burundi from sliding back into violent conflict ahead of presidential elections on July the 21st.
The group of Special Rapporteurs appointed by the Human Rights Council in Geneva issued a hard-hitting statement urging the international community to immediately act before mass atrocities that could threaten a regional conflict unfold.
