ShakeAlert, the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network's Earthquake Early Warning display, shows the M4.8 earthquake centered 17km (11mi) NNE of Victoria, B.C., Canada with depth 52.5km (32.6mi) on December 29, 2015 at 23:39pm PST. The USGS received more than 13,000 felt report.

For this quake, the warning was generated within 3 seconds of the waves first appearing at the surface of the Earth, so performance is already close to optimal, giving 10+ seconds of warning for metropolitan areas of Canada and the Puget Sound.
