"Dreams and aspirations", they are our hopes for a brighter future. For some, they are goals that were set from the very start, from our early childhood or from within the heart. They are our wants, and they are our desires.
But, what happens when our dreams shatter? When all of the hope that we had seems to have been destroyed? What happens when everything that we worked for completely and suddenly crumbles right before our very eyes?
A transition that might cause you to take stock in where you are in life and make some needed adjustments to the way you live your life. Most seem to come through the process smoothly without making major life changes. For some a midlife crisis is more complicated.
Who does it affect? No one is immuned to the affects of shattered dreams. Even men and women, chosen, called and anointed by God for the ministry have been effected. Somehow, some way the demons within take over their lives and, because of the situations that they face, they over load and changes their whole life up as they know it.
2 Corinthians 4:8-10 indicates that "we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body".
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 adds this: '"Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me. And He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.' Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong" .
