President Droupadi Murmu presented the Bharat Ratna Award at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday. Eminent Scientist M S Swaminathan conferred with the award posthumously. Swaminathan's daughter, Nitya Rao, received the award on behalf of her father.
