Australian politicians have apologised to staffers who have endured decades of bullying, harassment and sexual assault inside Parliament House and other government offices. The apology was delivered by Prime Minister Scott Morrison. It comes after Brittany Higgins - a former government staffer - alleged she was raped by a senior colleague in a minister's office in 2019. The allegations triggered an investigation, which found that 37 per cent of those currently in parliamentary workplaces had experienced bullying.
