Step-by-Step Guide:
Design and Print:
Create or select your design using design software.
Mirror the image before printing.
Print the mirrored design onto sublimation paper using a sublimation printer with sublimation ink.
Cut the HTV:
Load the A-SUB White Sublimation HTV into your cutting machine, shiny side down (matte side up).
Cut the design on the HTV using the appropriate settings for your cutting machine.
If you do not have a cutting machine, you can use scissors to cut out the printed design.
Weeding:
Weed away the excess vinyl, leaving only the design on the carrier sheet.
Preheat the Garment:
Preheat your heat press to 320°F (160°C).
Place your garment on the heat press and preheat it for 5-10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
Position the Design:
Place the weeded HTV design on the garment, shiny side up (matte side down), where you want the design to be transferred.
Heat Press the HTV:
Cover the design with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper.
Press at 320°F (160°C) for 15-20 seconds with medium pressure.
Peel the carrier sheet off while it is warm.
Prepare for Sublimation:
Place the printed sublimation paper on top of the HTV design, with the printed side facing down.
Ensure it is properly aligned with the HTV design on the garment.
Heat Press for Sublimation:
Cover the sublimation paper with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper.
Press again at 400°F (205°C) for 45-60 seconds with medium pressure.
Remove the Sublimation Paper:
Carefully remove the sublimation paper and Teflon sheet.
Allow the garment to cool down.
Finish:
Inspect your garment to ensure the design has transferred correctly.
