Dr. Kale is well-known for his work in parallel and supercomputing, as well as his innovation, the ‘Charm++ Framework’. His talk is very gentle in approach and touches upon many aspects of supercomputer history. He says, "limits to the supercomputing era are due to the financial budget and also the power budget." Later, he stresses on the power of ‘parallel programming’ and explains multiple approaches to it.
