Here is a short tutorial video I made for a watercolor milky way night sky mountain scene painting. It's my first actual painting video I've made, so don't judge me too harshly!
Filmed on Nikon D850 ( [ Ссылка ]) with a Nikon 50mm 1.4 lens ([ Ссылка ]).
I used Dr. PH Martin's ( [ Ссылка ]) and Mont Marte 1/2 pan travel set (18 count) including an aqua brush and sponge ([ Ссылка ]). I used a Simply Simmons 18 round wash to dot on the colors and add water, and I used a royal 3/8 Soft Grip angular brush for the star flicks.
For the stars it's easiest to mix water with acrylic paint and use that. It has to be rather wet. I kind of paint my finger and then run the brush down my finger in a flicking motion. Practice on something else first!
I do not tape down my paper, because it wrinkles up. Nor do I care to prepare my paper beforehand, because it always wrinkles up. I do not use 300 weight paper for simple projects like this. I flatten my paper out after it's all done by doing these steps:
1.) Turn the dry painting over onto a paper towel facedown.
2.) Wet the paper down everywhere. Be careful not to get water on the painting side.
3.) Place a paper towel down on the back of the painting and put a book on top of that. Make sure the book is larger than the painting.
4.) Place something heavy on the book.
5.) Leave overnight and voila! Nice, flat painting.
I will make a video of how I flatten my paper and link to it in the future.
**MOST IMPORTANT**
Have fun with this project! Paint the stars, rock out to Type O Negative or Metallica or whatever you fancy and just make your mark!
