In this video, we review Southern Palms Beach Resort located in Diani, Kenya. The resort has a stunning ocean view and definitely passes the eye test in terms of scenery and architecture.

The main issue with the resort is the service; the majority of the staff aren't very helpful or welcoming. The food, while delicious, lacked variety to some extent.

We booked an evening barbeque which was really below average. Unlike the buffet self-service in the main dining area, you're served by the chefs at the barbeque.

The chefs served us some beef that seemed stale and really rationed the portions served. We had to go to the main dinner area afterward to top up on food.

Every time we needed a waiter, they were nowhere to be found. Maybe the staff were overwhelmed as we were there during the Mashujaa Day holiday. Because of this, I'll still recommend you try the place at least once.
