After a bit of yard cleaning, I came across this incredible Queen European Wasp -
Fortunately, it was hibernating, and so it was fairly easy to handle.
After taking it inside to a warmer space, the wasp began to stir and wake - So I gave it a few drops of sugar water.
The wasp appeared to enjoy this refreshing beverage - It also gave me a chance to check out the mouth parts of a wasp! This looks very different to a bee tongue!
