Nearly 1,500 physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other cancer care professionals participated in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) 2019 Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. The conference included continuing medical education sessions presenting recent changes to the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®), and the evidence behind those updates.
Faculty from across the 28 leading academic cancer centers that comprise NCCN discussed the latest thinking on treatment for various cancer types with attendees from across the United States and 24 other countries. Cancer researchers presented their findings as posters and oral presentations, reflecting the conference’s expanding focus on original research, and a program specifically for future oncology practitioners, or Fellows, furthered NCCN’s commitment to nurture rising talent in the field of oncology.
