Compared to the #106, Mora #120 is safer (2 3/8") blade, better suited for smaller woodcarving projects. However, Mora failed to match blade thickness to the smaller length: a thinner blade would be most versatile on the 120, providing greater detail and closer carving in tight, narrow spaces. Basically, it's cheaper to produce the same blank as the #106, and just shorten it. So while it's a good tool, I wish it were better.
