The last day normal operating service of the year has finally dawned upon the Spa Valley Railway as we rapidly get ready for Christmas services to begin but as the Autumn leaves continue to fall, ‘303 Squadron’ would work the line’s green timetable across the High Weald. ‘303 Squadron’ would be joined by returning Class 69 69063 where it continued its long awaited return to service.
Services normally run to Eridge however today due to a possession of the line after Birchden Junction, services would terminate here before working back up the line towards Tunbridge Wells West.
Side note: Today seemed to be the day of audio issues as it seemed every clip I wanted to film today had some sort of audio issue. I’ve done my best to try and rectify the audio in post however some clips just weren’t that fixable. Not to mention the obligatory diesel horn jumpscare 🤦♂️ . So I hope this video came out well dispute the issues.
