Punjabi Lamb Curry Recipe
Ingredients
Medium chopped onions - 3
Turmeric Powder -1.5 tsp
Garam Masala – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 2 tsp
Salt (to your taste) – 1.5 tsp
Coriander Powder – 3 tsp
Green chillies – 3
Garlic & Ginger paste – 3 tsp
Coriander chopped – hand full
Tomato Tin (400g) – 1
Lamb – 1KG
Fry Light – 3 pumps
Method:
Using a non-stick pot add 3 pumps fry light.
Add chopped onions and cook until onions are soft & translucent (approx. 12 Mins)
Add Garlic & Ginger paste and let it cook for approx. 1 min then add the chopped green chillies and cook for 3 mins.
Add 400g of chopped tomatoes (1 tin) & Mix in
Now add the dry spices:
Red Chilli powder
Coriander powder
Turmeric Powder
Salt to taste
Mix together and then add 200 ml water
Once everything is mixed together bring to simmer then cover with lid for 13 minutes
Add Lamb pieces and mix well so that the sauce covers the lamb.
Bring to simmer and cover for 1 hour
Add Garam masala and freshly chopped coriander to finish – give it a quick mix and now its ready to serve.
