The port of Málaga is in international seaport, and a popular fishing port. It is the oldest one of this kind operating in Spain. The port is in a natural bay, well protected by the shape of coastline; it is situated on the edge of the historic cultural centre, and has access to all of the city´s beaches via the Promenade Pablo Ruiz Picasso. It is the second most important port in Spain for cruise passengers.
With the best views of Malaga, Paseo del Muelle Uno is a piece of Heaven on Earth. Located in the Port of Malaga, Muello Uno is a new shopping centre concept. Looking out onto the city and facing the sea, it’s a bustling shopping thoroughfare that offers a unique shopping, leisure and dining experience. Along the Muelle Uno, you'll find many restaurants, upmarket bars, fashion boutiques, service and accessory shops as well as a number of health and beauty outlets.
The upmarket area of Playa de la Malagueta lies between the Port of Málaga and La Caleta beach, is one of the most famous beaches for both tourists and locals. With dark sand and moderate swells, it’s 1,200 metres long and an average width of 45 metres long. It also has a palm tree-lined seafront promenade.
This urban beach is ten minutes from the city centre in the La Malagueta neighbourhood next to Muelle Uno. It has ample leisure and entertainment offerings, as well as services like sunbed and beach umbrella rentals and sailing equipment. The beach has a children’s play area that turns it into a perfect place for a family fun day.
