Bread Caramel Pudding
Ingredients for Pudding Mixture:
Milk 2 cups
Custard slurry (milk 1 cup + vanilla custard powder 3 tbsp)
Sugar 1 cup
Bread slices 4-5
Ingredients for Caramel Sauce:
Sugar 1 cup
Water 1/4 cup
Ingredients for Assembling:
Caramel sauce
Pudding mixture
Water (for steam) as required
Directions for Pudding Mixture Preparation:
1. In a pot heat milk and bring it to a boil.
2. Add custard slurry and cook until it starts to thicken. Now add sugar and cook until sugar dissolves.
3. In a chopper add bread slices and chop them well to form bread crumbs.
4. Add these bread crumbs into prepared custard and give it a good mix. Set aside.
Directions for Caramel Sauce Preparation:
5. In a pan heat water and sugar. Cook until sugar melts and caramelizes. Set aside.
Directions for Assembling:
6. Pour this caramel sauce to a pudding mold.
7. Add pudding mixture into it and cover it with aluminum foil.
8. Now in a deep pot add water and bring it to a boil.
9. Place a stand in the pot above water level and place pudding mixture on it. Turn the flame to low.
10. Cover the pot with lid and steam the pudding for 20-25 mins.
11. Your Bread Caramel Pudding is ready. Serve and enjoy.
