I’m weighing all the bikes that I purchase/review and bring through my shop here. I do it the same way every time. Before any aftermarket parts are installed on the bike, I fill it full of fuel and put it on the scale. The scale I’m using is a commercial shipping scale and I ONLY use it to weigh dirt bikes.

This 2019 KTM 300 XC-W TPI weighed in at 242.5 lbs which is exactly 1 lb lighter than the 2018 KTM 250 XC-W TPI bike that I gave away earlier this year. It’s possible that there are some variance in the tires. Yes, both bikes have the same model/brand of tire, but I think there are some discrepancies in tires sometimes from one tire to the next. That could account for some of it.
