This is the full-length 2 hour version of a 7 day backpacking trip in Colorado's Weminuche Wilderness starting at the Pine River Trailhead northeast of Durango, CO in October 2020. After following the Pine River a ways, I headed up Flint Creek into the San Juan Mountains above 10,000 ft. Eventually I meet up with the Continental Divide Trail and camp at lakes around 12,000 ft. for a few days before descending my loop-around point to follow Vallecito Creek back. The original plan was to follow Rock Creek over some high mountain passes for a longer trip, but a developing wildfire blocked my path and I knocked a day off the trip itinerary.
