This is a new edition of my old video "How to Knit a Hat".
In this video you will find a complete step-by-step tutorial on knitting the hat from start to finish. Also, such important details as the gauge, a correct placing of the markers, a detailed demo of the decreases, how to shape the hat after washing, and before and after photos.
For a casting on technique and a completely jogless connection in a circle please watch my videos:

The brand of the yarn I used was Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride worsted: grey hat - "Grey Heather" (M-03) and beige hat - "Sandy Heather" (M-01).
You can also use any other brand of yarn that you like, however I recommend to choose the yarn that can produce a bouncy rib.
Size adjustment:
The hat fits head sizes 55-58. For a larger head size (59-60) switch from 3.5 mm needle to 3.75 mm. For kids' sizes use a finer yarn and a smaller needle size.
The number of stitches in the sections can be reduced by 4 stitches per section in either short sections only or in both short and long sections (16, 32 stitches and so on).
The number of stitches in the sections can be increased by 4 stitches per section in either long sections only or in both short and long sections (16, 32 stitches and so on).
How to change the number of the cast-on stitches for a different yarn thickness - please watch this video: Knit a hat with ANY YARN - additional details to the pattern "The Northern Taurids Hat" [ Ссылка ]
Have a lot of fun knitting!
