Formed in 1997, the British pop group consisted of Claire Richards, Lee Latchford-Evans, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer, and Ian "H" Watkins. The group had two #1 singles in the UK, two #1 albums and fourteen consecutive top 5 hits. They sold over 20 million albums worldwide, received a BRIT award nomination in 1998 and opened for Britney Spears on tour. In 2001, when Claire and H left, the group officially disbanded. The group reunited in 2012 and again in 2017.

Released eleven months after the group had disbanded, The Last Dance consisted of B-Sides and remixes of previous singles. The album received little promotion and peaked at #57 in the UK.
