when a Muslim commits a sin, a black dot becomes in his heart. If he repents and asks for forgiveness, his heart becomes clean. And if he keeps on sinning and does not repent, that spot spreads throughout his heart and his whole heart becomes rusty. Then the heart does not feel the pleasure of worship. Therefore, even for minor sins, one should keep seeking forgiveness from Allah Ta'ala.If a person commits a major sin due to emotions, then he should definitely not despair of Allah's mercy, but as soon as he realizes it, he should take three steps:
1. He should immediately turn to Allah and seek His forgiveness in shame.
2. He should make a firm decision in his heart that he will never repeat this sin in the future.
3. He steadfastly adhered to this intention till his death.
If one commits a sin that is related to the rights of the people instead of the rights of Allah, then before seeking forgiveness from Allah, it is necessary to seek forgiveness from the person whose rights have been violated.
The method of repentance is to first of all completely abandon the acts of disobedience to Allah, then ask forgiveness of your sins with remorse and shame before Allah, and make a firm determination not to commit sins in the future. If you are responsible, try to pay them as soon as possible or seek forgiveness from those who have rights.
It is the duty of the muslim to turn away from his sins and to be sorry for what he has done, and it is because of the sin that it is a sin; It should not be because there is any loss of life or property in it and he should make a determination that he will not commit this sin again. One should turn to the Almighty and be sorry for one's sin and seek forgiveness, similarly it is not necessary to recite Durood Sharif first. However, it is better and polite to sit in front of Allah Almighty and praise Allah first.

The six conditions mentioned by Hazrat Ali (RA) are very comprehensive and are accepted by all muslims.

If you have committed a sin in your childhood and asked for forgiveness as an adult, then it should be clear that there is no impeachment for sins committed before puberty. A minor is not bound by Shari'a rules, so if he committed a sin in his childhood, i.e. minor, he did not become a sinner because of this sin, so it is not obligatory on him, however, if it is someone's financial right, then it is necessary to return it.
