In the first year of the Boston Celtics 'Big 3' featuring Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, the team had a league-best 66-16 record and reached the 2008 NBA Finals to face Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. In the third quarter of Game 1, Pierce went down with what seemed to be a serious leg injury that required a wheelchair, only to return a few minutes later to lead the Celtics to a 98-88 win.
