Starting from 01 October 2024, if you miss an ERP payment, you’ll have 5 days to pay it without the usual $10 admin fee! The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will send you an SMS to notify you, and as long as you pay within that grace period, you won’t be charged extra.

This change is part of the upcoming ERP 2.0 system, which will also make it easier to pay directly through your car's new On-Board Unit (OBU) by 2025. No more waiting for letters in the mail! So remember to keep your phone number updated in Singpass to receive these notifications.

Key Points:

5-Day Grace Period: Pay within 5 days after receiving an SMS, and avoid the $10 fee.

No More Letters: LTA will no longer send missed payment letters unless you don’t pay within the grace period.
