Contrary to Hollywood style dual sword fighting, where both weapons are used to block a single strike, it is more favourable to get out of the way of the incoming strike, parry at the same time with your first saber while preparing for the next strike with your second saber. This way, you do not leave any openings for your opponent to strike into and are protected all the time.
