Probably the worst day in Blue Jays history. They had a 3.5 game lead over the Tigers with seven games left, but lost all seven games, including a sweep by the Tigers in the last three games. However, the Blue Jays persevered and won the East two years later, before winning back-to-back World Series in 1992 and 1993. The Tigers lost that year's ALCS and didn't make it back to the playoffs until 2006. (September 5, 1987 at Tiger Stadium.)
