In this leather craft video I make a tooled leather card holder with hidden closure hardware. The exterior of the holder has been intricately carved and tooled within each section to create a quilted pattern look. Each section is then dyed using a hand-rubbed dye technique that transitions from a lighter shade in the middle of each section to a darker shade along the borders. Magnetic snaps help hold the card holder securely shut and are not visible from the exterior. The holder is completely hand stitched together using red Tiger thread for a pop of color. The basic dimension for creating the pattern can be found at the end of the video. I hope you enjoy the video and get inspired to design and make one of your own.
