On April 2, 2011, crews working for WSDOT removed the old NE 12th Street Bridge in Bellevue to make room for a new bridge. It's part of a project to ease congestion by building "braided ramps" that will separate vehicles entering and exiting northbound I-405 between NE 8th Street and SR 520.
