The Above Abyss trail in Moab, UT is an excellent alternative to the more famous Slickrock trail, and will appeal to those riders who may already have ridden Slickrock. The Above Abyss trail is ranked as intermediate and is a little less physically demanding than the Slickrock trail and arguably offers more interesting scenery enroute. Nevertheless, it also rides along primarily slabby, slickrock terrain for the vast majority of the trail. It is considerably less busy than the Slickrock trail - you may not see anyone on this trail all day.
