How to deworm and dogs and puppies with diatomaceous earth. In this video I show how I use food grade diatomaceous earth by adding it to my dogs homemade meals.
I’ll show the dosage I use per pound for maintenance and talk about the results I get.
A quick dosage guide for a preventative dose is
Under 25 lbs 1/2 heaping tsp
25 lb to 50 lbs 1 heaping tsp
50 to 100 lbs 1.5 heaping tsp
Over 100 lbs 2 heaping tsp
This can be fed daily in their food or mixed into yogurt, sardines, milk etc.
If your dog has worms it’s best to do 7 to 10 days on dose below
Under 10 lbs 1/2 heaping tsp
10 to 25 lbs 1 heaping tsp
25 to 50 lbs 2 heaping tsp
50 to 100 lbs 3 heaping tsp
Over 100 lbs 2 heaping tablespoons

When worms are gone it’s best to lower the dose to maintenance dose which can be fed daily, weekly or bi-weekly or monthly. Choosing a regimen should be based on your dogs lifestyle. Outdoors only, live on a farm, indoors only etc.

Safe for puppies that are eating solid food!!
Safe for pregnant dogs in all stages!
Safe for lactating dogs
You can buy DE at your local farm store just make sure it’s 100% pure food grade!!! Good old plain diatomaceous earth will deworm your dog, but in my blend that I sale I’ve added lemongrass, vitamin c and probiotics to make a detoxifying and immune supporting blend. I do sell this in my Etsy store, website and eBay but any food grade DE will work!!
