I love love love making this chili. It is so flavorful and hearty but it can be enjoyed as a healthy option. This will definitely be your new favorite chili. Enjoy! Feel free to leave comments with questions or requests for future videos!
Ingredients used in the video:
- 3-4 stalks of celery
- 1 medium-large sized onion
- 1 Green Bell Pepper
- 1 Red Pepper
- Fresh Organic Thyme
- Fresh Organic Rosemary
- 2 Jalapenos
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Garlic
- 3 Cans of Beans (I used 2 cans of Pinto and 1 can of Kidney, you can use what type of beans you like)
- 2 Cans of Rotel (Chili Fixin Flavor & Regular Chunky)
- Smoked Paprika
- Onion Powder
- I used "Slap Ya Mama" seasoning and "All Purpose Seasoning" but you can use any type of seasoning that has salt in it
- Ground Turkey, Plant Based-Meat Substitute (I've used Boca Soy Burgers Chopped up before and it is very good!), or do not add any meat and enjoy this hearty meal as a vegetarian meal.
Brief instructions:
1. Chop all of your vegetables
2. Sautee vegetables in olive oil with the garlic, rosemary, and thyme
3. Remove your vegetables and cook your meat or meat substitute in the pan where you cooked your vegetables
4. Add your beans
5. Add your vegetables back
6. Add your some more garlic and season your chili
7. Simmer on low-medium heat and check in and stir every 30 minutes until vegetables and beans are tender.
8. Add your favorite toppings
9. Serve Hot
10. Enjoy!
