Even as Covid-19 cases have seen a sharp spike in the last few days, Dr Randeep Guleria, former AIIMS director, says that there is no need to panic. He said that most cases are mild as there hasn’t been rise in hospitalisations or deaths. Dr Guleria said that those having co-morbidity and those who are aged need to be extra alert. He also said that people should follow Covid-appropriate behaviour so that the number of infections stays down, else the virus will get chance to mutate further. Dr Guleria said that those who haven’t taken their booster doses, must do so now.
