Dear sister, dear brother.
We celebrate the feast of Saint Gaspar Bertoni. Let us meditate on the Word of God in the prophecy of Isaiah. The LORD anoints His servant with His Spirit so that ashes, mourning and broken spirit be replaced by the diadem, the oil of joy and the festive garment.
We must announce Good News to the humble, healing to broken hearts, freedom to the prisoners, the consolation to the mourners.
Meditating on the apostle Paul's first letter to the Christians of Corinth, today we recall the need to preach Good News, serving everyone freely in order to conquer many others.
We must be preachers without waiting human rewards, since it is a burden received from the LORD.
And, as we meditate on the Gospel, John today presents Jesus saying He chooses His disciples to be His friends, teaching them everything He hears from His Father.
We must love one another as we are loved by Jesus, leaving and bearing fruit. Jesus grants us what we ask in His name.
Lets us pray with the psalmist: "The LORD watches over the way of the righteous".
In silence, let us let the Word of God to makes us preachers of Good News to the humble.
May the Immaculate Heart of Mary teaches us to love one another, as truly Jesus' friends.
