The nearly completed aircraft closest to the factory door is EMD1. This will be the first to fly, it will fly as a 767-2C, the provisioned freighter that will eventually be finished as a KC-46 tanker. It will fly as a 767-2C until it is certified by the FAA.

The aircraft behind it is EMD2. This will be the first test aircraft to fly as a fully provisioned KC-46 tanker in early 2015.

EMD stands for "Engineering, Manufacturing, and Design"
