I wanted a simple cover for my new Sculfun Iaser. The Creality Laser enclosure looked nice but I didn't like the zipper idea. [ Ссылка ] I liked that it was clean looking and had the orange plastic windows but I just didn't like the zipper idea. And as a side note, this cover is really a nice quality well thought out laser enclosure, I would highly recommend it! I really didn't want to build a laser enclosure so I thought I would do a little mod that would give me nice looking cover that was easy to open fast if I wanted. I put the Creality laser enclosure together (super easy) and then cut a 1/2" plywood base and using nylon cable clips, fastened the cover to in the back. Now I have a convertible laser enclosure that I can open fast and easy. In the video I have just utility string to stop the cover from flipping back, I will likely to jack chaing.
I added a couple of cleats to the bottom of the plywood base so it stays put and doesn't slide off my workbench. I also fastened the laser to the base using ceiling clips and tie wraps. I then positioned my honeycomb cutting board with the sheet metal guard underneath the honeycomb and fastened it using a couple of wafer head sharp point screws. I want to be able to pick up the whole assemble and put it up on a shelf when not in use. I do need to fasten the air pump yet as well, working on that. So we will see how it goes as I start cutting!
