Life on the road is not for the faint of heart, but it's the chosen path of every PRORODEO cowboy.
From June 13-15, team roping partners – header J.C. Yeahquo and heeler Buddy Hawkins traveled nearly 1,300 miles to compete in four rodeos in three days across three states.
The duo opened the weekend at the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo on Thursday in Vernal, Utah, ventured to slack Friday at the Evergreen (Colo.) Rodeo, and then turned northeast on Saturday to compete at the Earl Anderson Memorial Rodeo in Grover, Colo., and the Buffalo Bill Rodeo in North Platte, Neb.
The weekend adventure featured two treks across the Rocky Mountains, sprawling views of the prairie, a couple of checks and a couple of misses.
Yeahquo and Hawkins, both second in their respective PRCA | RAM World Standings, gave the ProRodeo Sports News an inside look at the ups and downs of life on the road.
