Italian Government Declares 'State of Emergency' after Deadly Landslide
On November 26, heavy torrential rainfalls triggered massive landslides in Italy's Ischia island. The Italian government declared a 'state of emergency' for the island. Over 7 people were killed, including a newborn and 2 children. Dozen people were feared missing and are trapped under the mud & the debris. Rescue teams continue to dig through mud and debris. According to the officials, the island had received the heaviest rainfall in 20 years.
